My stay was not good

It was not what I expected and there for I was disapointed from the start, apart from the location i was not happy, the staff were not friendly on signing out, it was as if we have you money so get out, i will not be staying there again put it that way,

Canberra is a great place to visit, there is so much to do i did not have enough time to get to see all i wanted in the 3 days i was there, easy to get around and just a pleasant place to be, beautiful day or night, loved it

This motel should have its star rating downgraded

The Embassy Motel in Canberra, ACT is in need of a proper maintenance program. The exterior lacks maintenance and in particular the fascia is overdue for paint and the vegetation is not trimmed. The room was clean and comfortable and would not have any trouble achieving a 3 star rating, but the toilet cistern needed to be closely checked to ensure that it closed off after use and did not continue to run.

The shower door track was out of adjustment and left a gap at the bottom. The breakfast offered did not taste fresh and I experienced an upset stomach during the morning. The balustrade to the external stairs does not comply with current building codes and replacement should be considered. It is too low.

The proximity to the Manuka shopping centre is a real plus.

Good Value for money

Good Value for money - Not too far out of the city, very good restaurant area and breakfast service. I would definitely recommend it to others and I will be going back on my next trip to Canberra. Staff also very pleasant.

War Memorial was amazing - allow a full day for this 4 sure, Otherwise you will miss so much.

very heavy traffic noise

Ask for room on side away from traffic intersection. Clean room with plenty of space and amedities.

This Motel is tired and in need of re-construction.

The very small rooms and inadequate car parking facilities, plus the lack of lights within the room reflect the age of the motel. TV was flat screen but no Auststar or Foxtel channels. Air conditioner was cool only and heater did not work. Location adjacent to Kingston shopping centre very convenient - easy walk to restaurants. Over-all did not meet expectations of a 3. 5 star rating.

Plenty of things to see and do in Canberra.
