This hotel served my needs, but with a little extra care this hotel would keep me coming back time and time agian. The bar area was great but lack atmosphere. TV's were turned off and there was no music? The staff were some of the best, but there weren't enough of them which left me waiting and unsure of what was happening most of the time. The rooms were also great but very bare, open plan with white/cream walls with no pictures or only one or two pictures left the rooms feeling cold and unwelcoming.
Overall i would stay agian, but only for business not pleasure until they improved the overall feeling.
Loved Canberra, the city was great, easy to get around and there was lots to see and do. I recommend the glass works and paddle boating in the lake.

Conveniently located
Canberra is not a nice city-no character nor history. Well worth seeing are the new and old parliament buildings, and the various museums. Lake Burly Griffin is as dead as a door nail-what a pity the shoerline is not developed with attractions such as cafes, restaurants etc as they do and have in Europe. We have never seen such a dead and unattractice place anywhere. As they say- in Canberry they fold up the footpath's after eight and that is that.

Good Value for money - Not too far out of the city, very good restaurant area and breakfast service. I would definitely recommend it to others and I will be going back on my next trip to Canberra. Staff also very pleasant.
War Memorial was amazing - allow a full day for this 4 sure, Otherwise you will miss so much.

Service was friendly and efficient, particularly at the "Haig Restaurant" on the ground floor, although some of the meals are a little pricey for what you get. Easy to find the hotel, being on the main thoroughfare through Canberra. But two big things let the hotel down. Firstly, unless you own a small car, you'll struggle to park your car in the undercover car park due to the spacing of the building support pillars.
The parking spaces are very narrow and you literally have to park with one side of the car against a cement wall, unless there's an empty space next to yours. The other thing is the noise from the road out the front. Make sure to ask for a room out the back else the road noise can be quite intrusive. They do supply ear plugs in the bathroom, but I hate to stick anything in my ears. Double glazing the windows of the rooms near the front of the hotel would be a way to fix this.

This hotel was a great place to stay, as it was family friendly, had the little conveniences of home, was central to the city centre, was cosy and cost efficient. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
A beautiful city. There were several sights and attractions to see and do as a family, for adults and children. It was also a relaxing get away, short distance from Sydney but enough to feel that you have been on a holiday.

The park and van were clean and tidy. Staff were helpful. There was a bistro, store and tavern on site which was handy. Very close to central Canberra.
